How business days are counted
The calculator counts every day from the start date to the end date, including both, then removes Saturdays and Sundays. Enter a number of holidays to subtract those too — useful for delivery estimates, notice periods and project deadlines.

What counts as a business day?
A business day is a weekday — Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded, and you can subtract public holidays with the holidays field.
Are the start and end dates included?
Yes. Both endpoints are counted (like a spreadsheet NETWORKDAYS function), so a Monday-to-Friday range is five business days.
Does it account for public holidays?
Enter the number of holidays that fall within your range and the calculator subtracts them from the total.
